Carmel Community School honors ESP and Teacher of the Year

Carmel Community School Teacher of the Year 2024 from Harrison School District 2.

Courtney Warnick is a Kindergarten Teacher at Carmel Community School. She says the best part of her job is getting to know 5-year-olds and their different personalities. Courtney has been at the school for two years and loves being a teacher. She says many members of her family are also teachers, so being a part of this profession is something she’s very proud of. She appreciates the way leaders at D2 actively listen to teachers and support them. Courtney says she gets great feedback and it’s helped her to become the teacher she is today.

Gabby Reyes is a part of the SSN program at Carmel Community School. She says she is humbled to be recognized by her peers and says she feels this is a big honor at a great job. Gabby says she does her best each day to roll with the punches and have fun. She says working in Special Ed means so much to her because of the relationships she is able to build with students and their families. She says she appreciates how D2 leaders take the time to honor the people who are working hard at the schools.
